8.8.2006 - Wow, it's been quite a "life" since September
11, 2001. As the five year anniversary of that tragic day
approaches, I am reminded how precious life is and how lucky
I have been throughout my entire life - and Parkettes was
part of my foundation. If it weren't for the strength of character
and utter determination I developed during my time as a Parkette
gymnast, I honestly do not know how I would have survived
9/11/2001 like I have. An update: I lost everything that day-
my apartment, the Pilates Studio that I owned in the World
Trade Center, my little dog Oliver, and twenty-one of my close
friends and clients. After continuing to live in Manhattan
just a few blocks above Ground Zero, I was burned out on life
and knew I needed a drastic change. Luckily, for me, God was
gracious yet again, and I met a truly amazing man just at
the nick of time! David Genovese, an owner of a commercial
building management company and a residential development
company. I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to live with him just
last year (Feb 2006). No marriage yet, and I have no children,
but we are extremely happy and I am now much inspired by life
again and looking forward to the future. Much love to everyone
at Parkettes. (Ironically, what prompted this email is a current
streak of dreams involving so many of you from my past! You
are all still in me somewhere and I pray you continue on with
what seem to be very many happy and satisfying lives! Contact
me if you would like- I would love it! THAT INCLUDES COACHES!
9.10.2001 - I'm living in Manhattan and own and operate a
Pilates Studio in the World Trade Center Complex. The studio
name is "The InnerStrength Studio.". NOTE: We are
glad to inform you that Sherri Lynn is safe and well after
the events of 9.11.2001. We received her request to join the
Club on the Sunday prior and this page was posted the following
Monday. We thank God for Sherri's life and others effected
by this great tragedy.
