The Parkette coaching staff is comprised of a unique and successful
blend of Parkette elite coaches as well as top-rate coaches from
universities and private clubs throughout the United States. Bill
and Donna Strauss, USA Olympic coaches, have been instructing
gymnasts for over 30 years. Jeanne and John Holman, a world champion
coach, have served as camp directors for the past 20 years; Robin
Netwall, Parkette elite coach, has served as both a Pan American
Games and World Championships Team Coach.
The accomplishments of our staff are endless;
however, what makes them unique is their philosophy and approach
to coaching: "To teach the highest quality gymnastics
while providing for each athlete's self-confidence and well being.
Each Parkette camper will benefit from the individualized attention
of our staff members; they'll learn about all aspects of gymnastics.
From the skill of it, the technique of it, to the mental focus
and most importantly ... the FUN OF IT!"
We
invite you - the female gymnast, age 6 and up, beginner to elite,
to join Parkettes and their one of a kind coaching staff to its
annual summer gymnastics camp. You'll enjoy a complete gymnastics
experience with expert instruction in a totally gymnastics-focused
week(s) of camp. We'll work with each individual to insure that
she works on her goals in a supportive and safe environment. The
Parkette philosophy of focusing on each gymnast's individual needs
has produced 4 Olympians, 10 World Championships Team Members,
5 USA National Champions, 110 National Team Members. We'll bring
that expertise to you. You may ask how we'll do that...We create
a format that allows each camper to get to know staff members
and work on their individual goals. Whether it's round-off backhandsprings
or double backs, we'll make sure you understand the best technique
in the gymnastics world.
Truly becoming a member of the Parkette family means staying
with a Parkette family! Commuters are welcome; however, housing
