The Parkettes are pleased to invite you to participate in our 20th Annual Brian Babcock Memorial Invitational (formerly known as the Parkettes Boys Invitational, is actually in its 44th year of existence. Through the years, this meet has developed into one of the largest and most prestigious men’s invitationals in the country, highlighting gymnastics from across the country and abroad. In 1999, the Parkettes renamed this competition to honor the life of Brian Babcock, former USA National Champion and Parkettes Men’s Program Director. His love for the sport and support of the children who participate in it will always be remembered. As we enter the year 2018, let’s remember his legacy and pass it on to our gymnasts.

Entries will be accepted on a first come basis. We have received a tremendous response to the Invitational and will accept pre-registered teams first. The pre-registration deadline is September 1, after this date, entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. You may by-pass preregistration by registering all athletes now and paying all applicable meet fees. No entries will be accepted without fees.

Hospitality – Coaches, the Parkettes are known for our superb hospitality during the competition. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks will be prepared for our coaching guests.

Elite Athletes – We welcome and encourage the elite athletes to compete against other gymnasts at the same level on Friday evening along with the Jr and Sr Cup competition.

Team Cup Information
: We are pleased to host this year’s Junior/Senior Cup competitions and look forward to another electrifying and competitive showing. Prize money will be awarded to the top teams and the Brian Babcock Scholarship will be presented after the event. Space is limited for this special competition and entry will be closed when squads are filled. You may enter has many teams as you wish for the Senior and Junior Cup competitions.

Junior Cup teams can be composed of no more than 5 with the top three scores per event counting towards the final team score. Junior Cup participants may be 14 years of age and under. Level 9 Junior Olympic program rules apply.

Senior Cup
teams can be composed of no more than 6 gymnasts with the top three scores per event counting towards the final team score. Senior Cup competitors must be 14-18 years of age. Modified FIG Level 10 rules will apply.

Elite Athletes compete Friday night in the Senior Cup session with FIG rules.

Senior and Junior Team Cup
: Team trophies will be presented to the top 6 Senior and Junior Cup teams. Monetary prizes will be presented to the top three teams in the Senior Cup and in the Junior Cup.

Special Recognition Awards: Judging officials for the Team Cup competition will recognize three competitors in each division with awards for:

Most Original
Most Virtuous Gymnast


Junior Olympic Competition (Level 4 – Level 10): Specially designed “Brian Babcock Invitational” medals will be given for the individual all-around and event champions in each division. Individual and All-Around awards will meet or exceed those recommended in the J.O. rules and policies. Divisions will be broken into equal age groups depending on the distribution of entries. Team trophies will be presented to the top six teams in each level. Ties will be broken for individual events per FIG.

Level 4 – Level 10: The FIG code of points and Junior Olympic Program rules will apply per level. Please be aware of latest J.O. program rules updates and the J.O. “pursuit of perfection” (POP) document.

Junior Cup Teams: Level 9 Junior Olympic program rules will apply.

Senior Cup Teams: Modified FIG Level 10 rules will apply.

All competition and warm-up equipment is American Athletic Inc (AAI). Competition floor exercise is Stratum/Palmer Power Spring. You may bring your own board. It must meet USAG regulations.

On-line registration and deposit: Pay a $200.00 deposit to guarantee your place in the 2018 Brian Babcock Invitational. Deposits are due by September 15. Deposits are non-refundable and will be deducted from your final meet entries.
